Rocky Mountain Small Animal Hospital opened for business on Feb. 17, 1992. We have been an American Animal Hospital Association accredited hospital since 1997. Only 17% of animal hospitals achieve this level of excellence.
In our early days, we were located next to Cub Foods at Mineral and Broadway. We spent five great years at that location helping pets and owners of the Littleton and Highlands Ranch areas.
On Dec. 21, 1996, we moved from our original location in Littleton to this larger facility to better accommodate our clients and their pets. We have striven to maintain a very high level of quality veterinary medicine and patient care. We will always treat each patient as if it were a member of our own family
Our hospital is accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA).
AAHA is the only organization that accredits veterinary practices in the United States and Canada. Practices that choose to pursue accreditation are evaluated on stringent quality standards that encompass all aspects of veterinary medicine—from pain management and patient care to team training and medical recordkeeping—and are continuously updated to keep accredited practice teams at the forefront of the profession.
Today, only 12%–15% of veterinary practices in the US and Canada hold the “AAHA-accredited” designation.
We see all sizes of dogs and cats and also offer experienced veterinary care for rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, rats, hamsters and gerbils.
We are closely associated with the following organizations:
Denver Dumb Friends League
Humane Society of Colorado
Metro Denver Shelter Alliance
